Curl Defining Cream

This leave-in cream is Rizos Curls’ top seller and was the first product that introduced me to the brand. It compelled me to try their other products. Despite being rich in creamy, buttery ingredients, this leave-in cream remains surprisingly lightweight.

CURL-Worthy Ingredients: Aloe Vera, Coconut Oil, Shea Butter, Provitamin B5 and Tamarind Fruit Extract. The fragrance is the brand’s signature sweet blend of California lemon and lime citrus notes with a base of sandalwood and coconut milk.

Texture: Creamy, yet lightweight.

Reasons to Love It or Hate It: This cream helped enhance my natural hair texture without over-hydrating my strands. It left my coils feeling softer than other curl creams I’ve used.

Curl Defining Mousse

Mousse products are a bit of a hit or a miss. This mousse worked perfectly on my thin curls; it left my hair deeply hydrated, shiny, and thick.

CURL-Worthy Ingredients: Naturally derived ingredients like Cactus Flower Extract (known for its stellar ability to nourish strands), Maracujá Oil (rich in antioxidants and enhances shine), Red Algae (protects hair from pollution and repairs weak hair), Coconut Water, Chia Extract, Flaxseed, Aloe Vera, and more.

Texture: Soft and airy like a cloud.

Reasons to Love it or Hate it: Enhances curl definition, hydrates, leaves curls flake-free, and adds a shield of antioxidant protection.

Apple Cider Vinegar Scalp & Hair Rinse

This build-up cleanser helps revive the scalp with the help of its star ingredient: Apple Cider Vinegar. The pointed nozzle makes it easier to disperse the product evenly throughout the hair.

CURL-Worthy Ingredients: Organic Apple Cider Vinegar, Black Tea Kombucha (stimulates scalp from stronger, thicker hair), Lemon Oil, Niacinamide(reduces scalp sebum), Rice Water, Green Tea Leaf Extract, Pineapple Extract, Aloe Vera, and Peppermint Oil.

Texture: Lathers up nicely after some scrubbing.

Reasons to Love it or Hate it: My scalp felt refreshed and clarified. It didn’t leave my strands feeling like hay. The product claims to balance pH levels and enhance shine.

Vitamin C Hair Repair Mask

The only hair mask in the entire line, this Vitamin C repair mask claims to repair the hair cuticle in just 5 minutes. Its citrus scent and luscious, rich texture make up for the product’s hefty price tag!

CURL-Worthy Ingredients: Murumuru Butter (known for its reparative properties), Grapefruit Oil & Orange Oil (rich in Vitamin C and antioxidants), Argan Oil, Shea Butter, Green Tea Leaf Extract, Apple Extract, and Coconut Oil.

Texture: Thick and creamy.

Reasons to Love it or Hate it: It’s fragrance-free and naturally smells like citrus. I noticed my hair felt softer and looked less dull. I didn’t see a huge difference in shine, but my mane felt healthier and more manageable than before.

Refresh and Detangle Spray

This 2-in-1 spray is not your typical curl refresher. Instead of a spritz, the formula has the consistency of a cream. I used this spray for taming frizz, rather than its recommended use as a detangler.

CURL-Worthy Ingredients: Coconut Oil, Aloe Vera, Shea Butter, Olive Fruit Oil, Provitamin B5, Slippery Elm Bark Extract (strengthens hair), Nettle Extract (improves hair health), and Neem Oil (promotes thicker hair).

Texture: This “spray” has the consistency of a leave-in cream, rather than the usual watery texture.

Reasons to Love it or Hate it: It leaves coils with a coconut scent and nourishes them.
